Schecter Guitars, located in Burbank, California, was founded in 1976 and originally made replacement parts for guitars. They started manufacturing guitars in 1979 and today have a line of electric guitars, bass guitars and steel-string acoustic guitars. The company is currently owned by a Japanese entrepreneur, Hisatake Shibuya, whom also owns Musicians Institute and ESP Guitars. Schecter's best seller is the Diamond series, which are affordably priced guitars manufactured in Asia.
Hilo Guitars and Ukuleles is the only dealer of Schecter Guitars on the Big Island of Hawaii. We carry a selection of Schecter's Diamond series electric guitars and Schecter acoustic guitars.
