Alvarez and Yairi Dreadnought family of guitars features larger bodies that project well and have exceptional bass response. They are ideal for general accompaniment and flat-picking. Even unamplified, a dreadnought will generally be loud enough for a small- to medium-sized audience.
Their classical guitars have a medium body size and slotted headstocks and bodies made from rosewood with cedar tops. Alvarez also makes 12 string versions.
